Go Find a Farmer started when...
During Covid, Derrick had an idea to help the people in his community find good family farms they could buy directly from in the middle of all the disruptions. A couple of years later, he found a friend passionate about the same types of ideas when Joel came to film a short documentary for a video series on family farms he was creating for a cattle equipment manufacturer. Unfortunately for both of their wives, they hit it off right away and became fast friends. The two collaborated on a few other projects for some national brands, and after a phone call one day, they decided to try something.
They joined forces in 2024 to start Go Find a Farmer, and now the four of them spend too much time thinking of how to help family farms thrive, and ways to educate the public on how buying directly from farms results in better food for their families.
