We are a fifth-generation, Commercial Grade A dairy farm located in Northern Michigan. Our family has called this land home since 1926. While dairy has always been a part of our lives, it wasn’t until 1974 that we officially became a commercial dairy operation.
We produce:
- A2 Cheese Spreads (Carameltastic, Cherry Limalooza, Herbalicious, Spicy Brewski)
- Hard Cheeses (Centurion Cheddar, Mackinaw Jack, additional flavors and varieties in the works)
- Ground Beef
- Beef Sticks (Regular, Honey BBQ, Cheese, Cheese Jalapeño)
- Summer Sausage (Regular, Cheese Jalapeño)
- Suet Wreaths (Original, Peanut Butter)
- We even have a children’s book about our farm mascot (Gracie the Cow)
Today, we are proud to be recognized as one of the top-producing herds in our region, which includes Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Wisconsin. This achievement reflects our commitment to animal care, quality milk production, and sustainable farm management.
In 2023, we took an exciting step by reconnecting with our local community through direct-to-consumer products. We began by turning beef from our culled cows into beef sticks and summer sausage. Our offerings have since grown to include a variety of cheese spreads and hard cheeses—with even more products on the way.
Our farm is located in a popular vacation town, which brings in many curious and enthusiastic visitors. To share our passion and educate others about dairy farming, we began offering farm tours in 2023. It’s been a rewarding way to connect with people and showcase the place we love.
Sustainability has always been one of our core values. We were the first farm in our area to be certified by the Michigan Agricultural and Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP), and in 2024, we became one of only 37 farms in the state to earn certification in all four of MAEAP’s systems.
We also take pride in finding innovative ways to reduce waste and support the environment. We partner with Short’s Brewing to repurpose their spent grain as cattle feed, and a local fishery contributes fish waste to enrich the manure we use as fertilizer. Additionally, we’ve planted pollinator habitats and trees through the USDA’s Conservation Stewardship Program.
Our mission is simple: to care for our animals, our land, and our community—while building a sustainable future, one step at a time.
